I got a compliment on my "ombre" hair today, which I just loved. I guess that means that I have let my hair grow out far enough that it now looks intentional :) I actually have a few more photos to share with you all soon. It feels nice to take pictures and blog when I want to, rather than feeling the pressure of doing it so frequently. Thank you all for you continued support and for being so understanding!

We received many lovely gifts for our wedding, including some gorgeous serving dishes and a fabulous drink dispenser (think ZGallerie).  I haven't had many opportunities to use my shiny new things, so I have decided that I need to host more events. I am a little apprehensive, because there are many people that I know (my sister and Nicole to name the top two), who know how to put together a dinner party. They both pay attention to detail and always serve tasty, creative meals. They should both start a blog for party hosting! I know I would be a follower.....

I may not be sure of what kind of snake this is (or if it is even a snake?), but I do know that I love this dress. I could live in BCBG! I wore this beautiful thang to a lovely mother's day dinner with my mama. I hope you started your week off right and that it continues to get better and better :)

One skirt, two ways...

I wore this skirt to work and then switched up some pieces and wore it out to dinner. I have a bad habit of wearing an item one way and then sticking to it the next time I wear the item. I have tried the denim on denim trend a couple of times and I like how the colorful belt breaks up the fabrics. I also have to mention that I love Marshalls. It is nice to be able to buy some of the trendier clothing for a discounted price.  

 

 I have been doing a lot of reading lately and I finished a great book on Saturday. If you haven't read Gone Girl, you should! My husband also encouraged me to try golfing, so I had my first lesson this weekend. I think that it has the potential to be really fun, but very frustrating. What are some of your favorite past times?

Pop of Color

Flats were a necessity again today. Hopefully my legs/feet will be fully recovered tomorrow. Now that the pain of running the last couple of miles is starting to fade we are planning our next run! :) 

This skirt is quite old, but I love the print/shine.
