With the exception of my dinner date outfits, I feel like I have really been getting back to the basics for my everyday wear. I don't feel like layering jewelry or clothing at all and there is something about a flare jean that has been calling my name. I hope you all are having a great week.

I am just getting around posting this picture from last weekend, oops! We had a very busy weekend, including date night, a concert, dinner with friends, and a BBQ/swim party. We dined at Yard House for date night and enjoyed some cider (for me) and beer (for Nick). The concert provided an excellent opportunity for people watching...there are some things you just can't un-see! We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent with friends this weekend.  I love all the laughter and memories that we create.

This blog has been a very interesting adventure. The journey has consisted of many ups and downs, positive and negative thoughts, frustrations and joys. I just wanted to take a second to thank you all for your encouragement. Putting yourself out there is not an easy thing, but it is much easier when you have great friends and family to support you. Spring Uniform

My spring uniform only differs from my fall uniform in a few ways: switch the fun heels for embellished sandals or wedges and shorten the blouses sleeve length. Nick and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary yesterday...we still counted it even though we started over with years of marriage. We spent the day going back and forth to Lowes sprucing up our yard! You may catch a glimpse in future photos. Have a great Monday!

Talk nerdy to me...

The strings hanging down from this top kind of look like suspenders, which I didn't notice until I uploaded the photos. This somewhat nerdy ensemble reminded me of a themed birthday party that Nick and I recently attended, which included dressing up as a high school stereotype. I dressed as a nerd and decided that my actual glasses were nerdy enough, so just added a little tape. When I got there another party goer told me that she bought a pair of nerd glasses for the party too! I just had o laugh, knowing that my actual glasses are rather large.  I also first learned about and participated in a Harlem Shake video. I think I must live under a rock to not have heard about that before a couple weekends ago. 

Side note: I hardly ever straighten my hair, so of course I chose a rainy day to finally do so!

Pastels

While taking photos my photographer has a tendency to get a little off task...the last picture being a prime example of his "off-task target." He often gets better photos of the dog than he does me, hence the reason why I only have two photos that turned out halfway decent. That could be for several reasons, with the most obvious being that Dexter is waaayyy cuter than I am. Our failed attempt at pictures means that you can't see the cute button detailing down the side of the top :(

I tried a new product on my hair...Not really loving the results...Trial and error will continue.

These shoes reminded me a little bit of skittles and this outfit reminded me a little bit of the 80s...but I was diggin' it!

After what felt likes days of trying to figure out how to add the google friend connect widget, it is finally up and running. I am not what you would refer to as a "tech savvy" person, so blogging has really helped me broaden my skills (aka: raise my blood pressure). It does feel pretty darn good once I (aka:my husband) finally figure something out ;) Thanks for reading!
