I apologize for the lack of posts. Nick and I have been on vacation the last two weeks and we were taking advantage of our relaxation time. We just got back from a trip to Texas, visiting my sister and her family. We had such a great time that words cannot do it justice. All I can say is that we already miss everybody so much and it was very difficult to leave. We managed to take a couple of outfit pictures in between all of the photos of the kids and as you can see there is a new photo bomber in town :)

I apologize for the lack of a post on Friday. I didn't quite get my stuff together before leaving for our camping trip last week. We enjoyed several beautiful days camping on the beach with friends. We ate, we drank, we had a boys versus girls olympics (of course the girls won), enjoyed the views, and got blown away by the wind. I think my favorite part of the trip was unplugging from the internet/phone and enjoying the company and great outdoors (our makeshift volleyball court was a close second).  I used to hate it when others would be on their IPhones at the dinner table, during social events, etc. and I have found myself partaking in the behavior that I detested so much. Since returning home, I have been making a conscious effort to use all of my devices less. I find that I am a much more pleasant person when I am not caught up in the happenings of others. Maybe I am just crazy :)

Happy fourth of July!  

I wore this outfit on one of our lovely 102 degree days to run errands. If I haven't already mentioned it, one of my favorite things about summer is getting to have lunch with my husband. We work too far apart to ever meet for lunch while I am working. After lunch I went to visit my grandma, who is doing well after falling and cracking her hip. Finally, I headed over to a consult appointment for my wisdom teeth : (

This was my "last day of work" outfit. Statement necklaces have been all the rage lately and I can see why. My outfit would have been rather plain without it. I apologize for the late post, my husband strained/tore his hamstring last night, so I was getting ice, motrin, snacks, etc. instead of writing my post. As a result of said left hamstring injury, I am getting some practice driving around the stick shift....you may want to stay off the roads. :)

I wore this outfit while running errands with my husband this weekend. The hat was a perfect way to hide my hair since I was feeling a bit lazy. These cute shorts were a steal at nine dollars!  I have quite a bit of difficulty finding shorts that fit me right (or how I like them to). I sized up on these ones to achieve my desired look. Now I just need some color on those legs :)

 

P.S. As you can tell from the photos we spent a lot of time this weekend messing with the camera settings.

I wore this outfit to work on Friday when the weather was a bit cooler. The hubby and I are making some attempts to not just use the manual setting on the camera, which explains the different qualities of each of the photos. We decided that we can't get the look we are going for using my Sony cybershot, but we aren't ready to make the jump to a nicer camera. Any suggestions for a budget friendly camera?  Maybe I will ask for one for Christmas :) 12 more days...
