This was my Gweneth Paltrow copy cat look. I also tried out some new facial expressions rather than just smiling, but I just ended up looking really pissed off. Darn you bitch face!

New years resolutions

I am not a big fan of new years resolutions, but I made a few anyway. I do wish that all of the people whose resolution was to go to the gym would give up already. I know it's mean, but my classes have been so full! I like to have enough space that my sweat isn't flying off and hitting others in the face.

In case you were wondering I made two resolutions. The first one was to save more money! My husband really liked that idea. We did a lot of spending at the end of the year for the wedding/holidays and now that it is all over and paid for I feel like I can start fresh. My second one is a little more complicated, but mostly has to do with minding my own business and not letting things bug me. I know that we have complete control over how we let others affect us, but it is still not an easy task. Perhaps my resolution should have been to learn the correct use of affect/effect and commas :-) Did you have any exciting resolutions/plans? Please share!

Let the shoes shine

I am a lover of all things animal print, especially when it comes in the shape of shoes. For this outfit I kept everything else neutral and let my shoes be the focus. When I first put them on I thought I had them on the wrong feet because they were so uncomfortable. Luckily, they seemed to stretch out a little throughout the day. I also did a very stupid thing and ran 5 miles in new shoes...my blister today really feels great!

After the dog photo bombed me he decided it was too cold to be outside with us. Classic Dexter move!

Leg warmers?

I have had these leg warmers lying around for a while now. I got them as a gift and wasn't so sure that I would be a fan. I have to say, they are awfully warm and cozy! It also allowed me to wear a skirt without tights and show off my tiny tan :-)
Back to work today....

Holiday high and subsequent fall...

I love the holidays just as much as the next person, but I despise the holiday clean up. Packing away the Christmas decor, unpacking travel bags, and attempting to find a new home for all the new Christmas goodies are not things that I look forward to. Our recycling bin and garage have seen enough cardboard boxes to last a lifetime. Perhaps I am just a Christmas/vacations are over and I have to go back to work Scrooge!

This outfit was inspired by my friend on Breaking Bad :-) We may be back home, but we are still on vacation. Now back to the show...

We're back!!!!

We had a grand time in St. Thomas celebrating/honeymooning with family and friends. Our days were comprised of eating, laying on the beach, playing in the ocean, snorkeling, and more eating. We were so blessed to have many of our family and friends there with us to karaoke, dance, visit, play.... It was hard to leave the 83 degree weather. My sister would be so proud; I managed to not get a sunburn for the first time in my life and I even managed to get some color. Here are a few pictures from our trip.
