Summer Romper

Romper Gift from Sis/ Sandals Target/ Jewelry Express, Nordstrom/ Bag Marc by Marc Jacobs

My generous, beautiful sister sent me this romper in the mail when I was having a bad couple of days. How thoughtful is that? I think if I ever read the "Language of Love" book it would say that mine is gifts. I love the colorful print and the silky feel of this romper. I got a little matchy matchy with my accessories, but I just couldn't resist layering on my favorite color.

In other news...we almost one our first softball game. It went to extra innings, which is a huge improvement from our last couple of weeks. I pre-gamed at Panera with my other sis-in-law, enjoying another great lunch!

P.S. I love Lydia from Real Housewives of OC and thought I would try out her jeweled headband look. I am digging' it. Happy Tuesday!

P.P.S. I will be working on a collage for tomorrow, so feel free to send me an item that you want to see featured! :)

Silky Shorts

Shorts and Tank F21/ Shoes DV Dolce Vita/ Necklace Express/ Bag Marc by Marc Jacobs

I have been living in silky shorts and tanks the last couple of days. I liked the fun print on these and the fact that they were around 10 dollars. Be prepared for the silky shorts overload this week!

Nautical Shorts

Shirt Nordstrom/ Shorts JCrew/ Jewelry Express, Nordstrom/ Shoes Gianni Bini/ Clutch Marc by Marc Jacobs

I think it might be impossible to wear these shorts without exuding a nautical vibe, so I just went with it. I wore this outfit for a lunch date with my sister-in-law, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am one of those people that talks a lot when I get excited or haven't seen somebody in a while, okay I guess I talk a lot in general. Right about now is the time to feel sad for Katie, or jealous that you weren't having lunch with me  ;) All kidding aside, I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Striped Dress + Coral

Jacket F21/ Dress and Shoes Target/ Necklace Nordstrom/ Watch Michael Kors/ Bag TB

So, I have a confession...Whenever a new trend comes out (i.e. peplum, colored denim, etc.) I have a tendency to buy a ton of stuff. Remember when cropped sweaters were all the rage about 7? years back? (guess who has a bin full of them) I am also a bit of a clothes hoarder. When you add up the trend purchasing and hoarding, you're left with a pretty full closet. I have been making a conscious effort to not "over buy" when it comes to a trend. I am proud to say that I have limited myself to a few items. The next couple of sentences are meant to be purely observation, not criticism. There are other blogs that I look at and lately I am finding myself uninterested. I think it might be the overload of "trends." So I apologize if you want to see the latest and greatest everyday, but I think that some days we need to put down the chambray or peplum top, colored skinnies, and statement necklaces (myself included).  Thanks for reading!

Little Red Skirt

A friend of mine told me that she was thinking about buying the red skirt in the center. I thought it would be fun to pick out some tops and shoes to go with it. Sorry, I am still trying to figure out how to make collages without borders, so that the outfits would match up better.  If anybody knows how feel free to share.

I am by no means a personal styling expert, but I do enjoy helping my family and friends when they ask. I have spent hours searching for dresses, shoes, etc. for events for my peeps and have even put together looks and "option boards" similar to this and emailed them. If you would like me to put a board together for you or would like me to feature an item for you on the site, send me an email! Have a great day!

Bold Flower Necklace

Top Marshalls/ Jeans Citizens of Humanity/ Wedges Steve Madden/ Bag TB/ Necklace GroopDeelz?

This was my "last day of work" outfit. Statement necklaces have been all the rage lately and I can see why. My outfit would have been rather plain without it. I apologize for the late post, my husband strained/tore his hamstring last night, so I was getting ice, motrin, snacks, etc. instead of writing my post. As a result of said left hamstring injury, I am getting some practice driving around the stick shift....you may want to stay off the roads. :)

Jenn's Wedding

Here are a few shots from one of my best friend's weddings this weekend. We had such a blast sipping (er...chugging) champs (yes, I love Heather Dubrow), eating heart shaped brownies, dancing, staying up way too late in our hotel rooms, and breaking all of the rules in regards to appropriate conversational topics.  The rest of the weekend was spent lounging around, watching Dexter, and figuring out how to use snapchat.  I know I am about 3 years late on that app. I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Rehearsal dinner with the bride.

Her bouquet, dress, and venue were beautiful.
Our flowers were beautiful as well. Poor things were wilting in the 102 degree weather.
The bride and her father surprised everyone with a choreographed dance during their father/daughter dance. This was the "tah-duh."
