Now that my summer wardrobe is set, I am beginning to look towards Fall....just in time for the Nordstrom anniversary sale that starts today! If you are lucky enough to have early access (like I do of course), you get to start the shopping a little early. For those of you who don't, here are some items that I am loving that are available now. Happy Nordstrom shopping!

Flower crowns are all the rage on Pinterest these days and my sister-in-law mentioned that she would be wearing one in some upcoming photos. I thought it would be fun to take the trend and create some looks. I am loving the jeweled one...I may just have to snag it up!

Little Red Skirt

A friend of mine told me that she was thinking about buying the red skirt in the center. I thought it would be fun to pick out some tops and shoes to go with it. Sorry, I am still trying to figure out how to make collages without borders, so that the outfits would match up better.  If anybody knows how feel free to share.

 

I am by no means a personal styling expert, but I do enjoy helping my family and friends when they ask. I have spent hours searching for dresses, shoes, etc. for events for my peeps and have even put together looks and "option boards" similar to this and emailed them. If you haven't already noticed, I am a big lover of Express. There clothing just seems to fit me well and they always have great deals. Here are a couple of items that I am eyeing... Happy Hump-Day!

Fashion for Less

It is easy to get caught up in the "name brand" game and I know that I definitely do. Although, in many cases I think it is smart to find cheaper alternatives, especially when it comes to trendier items, such as colored denim, peplum, etc. We don't all have the budgets of movie stars (and popular bloggers). Forever 21 is a store that a frequent hat satisfies that trendy side of mine without breaking the bank. Here are a few of their new arrivals that I am loving. What is your take on spend versus save for those trendier items?

Many times my weekend outfits require something less casual than my work attire. One of my favorite things to do is get dressed up and have a dinner date with my husband. I love finding excuses to throw on a pair of heels! I actually wear heels/wedges so often, that my future brother-in-law thought that I was 5'10'' (instead of my measly 5'6'').

Even though I chopped off my hippie hair, the inner hippie still lives on. I love everything lace and crochet for the summer and spring months. I am really sad that those shoes are no longer available in my size. Have a great weekend!

Sentimental Saturday

Some items that I am loving at Anthropologie

Warning, the following has nothing to do with fashion:

A couple of weeks ago I posted about "my feelings." Yikes! None of you provided me with any advice :) so I asked my sister her opinion. She gave me good advice (as always) and rather than telling me what to do, she provided me with some questions to ask myself. After a couple of days of thinking (a couple of days is nothing compared to how long I can think/obsess about silly things) I decided to not say anything. One of the questions that my sister posed was, "would it change anything if you spoke up?" In this case I don't think it would.  Sometimes you just have to suck it up and perhaps change your expectations for that person.

I love posting about clothing, shoes, etc., but I thought it would be nice to share a little of who I am and how I think. Thanks for reading. Have a great Saturday!

Dreaming of Sunshine

Can you tell that I am ready for spring/summer? It must have been the warmer weather that we had yesterday. I wasn't picking items that would "go together," but it appears that this would make quite the outfit ;) Woohoo, it's Friday!
