I scored this dress at Bebe on major discount while shopping on my birthday. I have been dying to wear this dress since then and my friend's bridal shower was the perfect opportunity (if you are following me on Instagram, you already caught a glimpse of the dress and the beautiful bride to be). I love the scalloped hem of the skirt, as well as the mint and silver color combo. I paired the dress with one of my favorite pairs of heels. I was running a tad bit late, so I only got a few quick shots. Thanks for reading.

I have been trying to make some improvements to the blog lately, one of which was adding an Instagram account. I have never been a huge fan of social media, which I realize contradicts the fact that I have a blog, but I thought I would give it a shot. Nick and I had a busy weekend and I forgot to announce the winner of the necklace giveaway. I know I am not alone when it comes to being very critical of myself. This is a great reminder that we should focus on our strengths and the things that we love about ourselves rather than always narrowing in on the negatives.

Weekend Wear

Many times my weekend outfits require something less casual than my work attire. One of my favorite things to do is get dressed up and have a dinner date with my husband. I love finding excuses to throw on a pair of heels! I actually wear heels/wedges so often, that my future brother-in-law thought that I was 5'10'' (instead of my measly 5'6'').

I am ready to break out all of my summer sandals and tank tops! I tend to push the limit when it comes to wearing the appropriate sleeve-length and shoes based on the weather, so it's no wonder why I tend to be cold. It must be my optimism peeping its head out. Denim and Dots

I have tried the denim on denim trend a couple of times and I like how the colorful belt breaks up the fabrics. I also have to mention that I love Marshalls. It is nice to be able to buy some of the trendier clothing for a discounted price.  

 

 I have been doing a lot of reading lately and I finished a great book on Saturday. If you haven't read Gone Girl, you should! My husband also encouraged me to try golfing, so I had my first lesson this weekend. I think that it has the potential to be really fun, but very frustrating. What are some of your favorite past times?
